OSMOS X is opening its second office, in Toulouse!

Our mission: make on-orbit a place you can actually manage.

Currently, once a satellite is placed on orbit, it operates where it’s deployed with no ability to significantly change its location. The satellite is life limited by its ability to stay in its designed orbit and is usually unusable if inserted in the wrong one. Thorus changes that.

Thorus is our long-duration orbital transfer vehicle, a spacecraft designed to operate several years in orbit while servicing multiple satellites. It transfers satellites from LEO to GEO, repositions assets, extends their operational life, and deorbits debris in a controlled manner.

One vehicle. Multiple missions. High autonomy. đŸ”„

Thorus is built for a dual market: commercial satellite operators looking for a fundamentally different cost structure, shared, long-duration infrastructure instead of a dedicated launch for every orbital maneuver and governments that need responsive, sovereign in-orbit mobility for their institutional and defense assets.

Powered by HPCRÂź, our proprietary plasma propulsion technology delivering 5,000 seconds of specific impulse more than twice that of competing electric propulsion systems. OSMOS X is building a Thorus fleet to make orbital servicing as reliable and accessible as any infrastructure service on Earth.

Bruz remains our propulsion R&D core. Toulouse becomes our Orbital Services hub, where Thorus missions will be designed, built and operated.

“I’m thrilled to be leading this expansion from Toulouse. This is where Thorus missions will come to life, from constellation management to debris removal. In-orbit mobility starts here.” – Emily Brageot, Director of Orbital Services Programme

First demonstration flight: 2027. We’re on track.

We’re hiring in Toulouse: systems engineering, propulsion, orbital operations.

OSMOS X x SpaceLocker

📣 Live from SmallSat Europe đŸ‡łđŸ‡± . OSMOS X and SpaceLocker just signed the first step toward putting a French multi-mission orbital vehicle in orbit.

It’s not a rocket. It’s not a satellite. It’s something new and today, it’s one step closer to orbit.

What OSMOS X brings: Thorus, a multi-mission orbital vehicle that picks up satellites, delivers them to the exact orbit requested, from LEO to GEO, repositions satellites, extends their operational life, and comes back for the next mission. Powered by HPCRÂź, OSMOS X’s proprietary plasma propulsion technology, Thorus can complete three times more missions than conventional vehicles.

What SpaceLocker brings: a hosted payload service that handles everything: flight booking, standardised payload integration, end-to-end project support.

Together: the first in-orbit demonstration of OSMOS X’s propulsion, hosted by SpaceLocker. In 2027.

2027 is the proof. 2029 is the market.

Proud to be taking this step with ThĂ©ophile Lagraulet and the SpaceLocker team. đŸ€

Big news: OSMOS X has been selected by the European Defence Fund.

🌍 As coordinator of project TAC (Tactical-Capture), we are leading a consortium of 7 partners across 5 European countries to develop a groundbreaking solution for in-orbit mobility and capture.

The challenge: intercepting and securing a spacecraft in orbit, even when it has no standard docking interface.

The answer: a servicer vehicle integrating plasma HPCRÂź propulsion and a welding-based capture technology, no docking port required, no cooperation from the target needed.

This is made possible by the combined expertise of our consortium:

→ ArcSpace — welding capture technology
→ LPGP / CNRS — in-situ diagnostics & process control
→ Politecnico di Milano & Politechnika PoznaƄska — algorithms & contact dynamics
→ KINETIK Space — robotic arm integration
→ Vimotek — sensor technologies and orbital simulation

Project TAC is a 30-month program that brings Europe one step closer to tactically responsive, sovereign orbital mobility.

đŸ‡ș🇾 And as this news breaks, our CEO Arnaud Masson is at the Space Symposium (Space Foundation) in Colorado Springs, representing OSMOS X on the international stage. Meet us!

The timing feels right.
