About Us
Our Story
OSMOS X was born from a shared vision among experts in ion propulsion and plasma physics. Founded by specialists in ion source technologies, the company leverages their decade-long experience in particle accelerators to explore the potential of ion propulsion for space logistics. What started as an internal study evolved into a groundbreaking vision: to transform space transportation with reusable, high-efficiency orbital vehicles.
With a growing team of engineers and researchers, we operate from our headquarters near Rennes, France, developing and testing next-generation propulsion systems. Our work is supported by leading space institutions and industrial partners, allowing us to bring innovative solutions from concept to orbit.
Our long-term ambition extends far beyond Earth’s orbit. While our current focus is on optimizing satellite transportation and sustainability, our vision is to become a key enabler of human expansion into deep space. The technologies we develop today will be essential for lunar and Martian logistics, paving the way for autonomous cargo transport between celestial bodies
